ARC Raiders has started to feel properly dangerous again, in the best way. You drop in, check your kit, and there's that little pause where you wonder if you've brought too much or not enough. The mission itself sends you across a few awkward spots: fixing the Warehouse roof antenna, powering the boom box in the Village, and honking the bus horn at the Checkpoint. It's a bit silly, sure, but the reward matters. Lure and Tagging grenades can turn a messy escape into something you actually survive.
Risk finally feels closer to reward
What stands out most is that Embark seems to understand the pain point. Losing gear should sting, but it shouldn't make you want to log off for the night. Better loot from major ARC targets, including things like Vaporizers, makes tougher fights easier to justify.
