#Last Epoch Gold
4 views
The Prophecy system in Last Epoch is a core mechanic tied to the Circle of Fortune faction, designed to help players target farm specific high-value loot through short quests and conditions. It enhances endgame progression by providing focused objectives that reward powerful gear and crafting materials.
Unlocking Prophecies
To access Prophecies, players must first join the Circle of Fortune faction. This is done by progressing through the main story up to Act 9, then traveling to Majāelka and speaking with the faction NPC at the Observatory. Once a member, players earn Favor by killing monsters and completing quests, which is then spent at one of four telescopes in the Observatory to purchase Prophecies.
How Prophecies Work
Each telescope corresponds to a cardinal constellation region, each offering Prophecies that reward specific loot types:
1. Arctus (North): Armor pieces like helmets, gloves, boots
2. Eos (East): One-handed and two-handed weapons, off-hand items
3. Mesembria (South): Jewelry such as rings, amulets, relics
4. Dysis (West): Crafting materials, idols, runes, keys
When purchasing a Prophecy, players receive a small quest with conditions such as defeating certain bosses, completing monolith timelines, dungeons, arenas, or campaign content. Completing these objectives yields guaranteed rewards like Exalted or Unique items, crafting currencies, or specific gear pieces.
Prophecy Types and Usage
Prophecies vary in rarity and cost-Rare Prophecies are cheaper and drop more items, while Unique Prophecies cost more but guarantee legendary potential. Some Prophecies allow multiple completions before expiring, enabling repeated farming of desired loot. However, Prophecies do not drop boss-specific unique items tied to their original sources but focus on world-drop Uniques and crafting resources.
Prophecy Lenses
To refine loot targeting, players can use Prophecy Lenses, which influence the type and conditions of Prophecies offered by telescopes. For example, lenses can bias Prophecies toward monolith timelines, specific item types (like shields), or rarities (such as Unique items). Lenses are purchased from an NPC in the Observatory and equipped to customize the Prophecy pool, greatly enhancing farming efficiency.
