When a user steps onto the Herz P1 Smart Scale barefoot, the scale emits a very low-level electrical signal that’s entirely safe and imperceptible. This harmless signal travels up one leg, across the pelvis, and down the other leg. As it moves, the signal encounters resistance (or impedance) based on the body’s composition. The scale’s internal system measures this resistance and pairs it with data from its highly accurate weight sensors.
