In the process of attempting to know how to recover the overwritten Excel file on the Mac, timing and process become very important. Excel keeps temporary versions as Word, and when version history or Autosave are switched on, there is still a possibility of having them. Otherwise, the recovery tools are able to search the disk to find previous file structures before an overwrite occurred.
