Lately I’ve been getting a bunch of calls from a company called Stop American Debt Management, and it’s starting to feel like harassment. They keep calling multiple times a day, even after I told them to stop. Sometimes they leave these weird, pushy voicemails that sound almost threatening. I’m not even sure how they got my number in the first place. It talks about how collectors are supposed to follow the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and I didn’t realize there were actually steps you can take to make them stop.
