Posted in the topic Tips and Insights on Finding Slug-Friendly Barrels in Western Airguns in the forum Suggestions
    July 9, 2025 5:35 AM PDT
Are any of the Western Airguns models slug-ready out of the box? I’ve been having trouble getting my .30 cal to group well with slugs—pellets are fine, but slugs seem inconsistent. Do I need a different twist rate, or are there barrel upgrades that solve this? Anyone experimented with NSA or Zan slugs in Western platforms? I’d love tuning tips too—especially on harmonics, barrel tensioning, or reg pressure for optimal slug performance. Hoping to transform mine into a true slug shooter.
